James Trotman –
We have had our Wakerley stove for nearly 8 years now and it has consumed well over 100 cubic metres of wood in that time. It has proven to be very reliable with only the rear vermiculite plate cracking after 3 years, (replaced with the superior 2 piece framed vermiculite panel) and it still looks as good and runs as well as the day it was installed. It can be a bit smokey on reloading if its been allowed to die down to embers, but that is an issue with many larger stoves. Our house is big, old, stone built and open plan and the stove easily holds the house above 20c throughout our winters. Very happy overall and the spiralling fireball flame pattern when its running at a good temperature is often commented on by visitors.
